I am Soda Fontaine, a pinup girl and casual burlesque performer from Auckland, New Zealand.
In December 2011, I stepped out onto the Burlesque stage for the first time after a round of amateur burlesque classes. The glamour and sparkles of burlesque had drawn me in and I wanted to learn more. I started amateur burlesque classes with the Hootchy Kootchy Girls in mid-2012.
From burlesque, I found the confidence to truly express myself in my own pinup style. For many years now I have been a lover of the pinup fashion styling from the 1940's and 1950's. I have always admired the pinup girls from that era.
However, don't let the pink and brightness of my blog fool you. I am a lover of alt-metal, post-hardcore music and other genres of rock. I love attending shows and music festivals.
Travel is an obsession of mine. While I plan for one trip, I am always thinking of a trip to do after that one. As a big day dreamer it's hard not to get carried away.
